9.00-20.00

My workhours from today. Oh man. There was a deadline but I wasn’t familiar with the system I worked in, so I had to learn it first. Before I knew it, it was 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and eventually 8pm. It’s too crazy for words really.

Staring out the window

So today I had to work in The Hague. Luckily I didn’t begin until 11 o’clock, but I had to take the train of 9.19am. And I needed to buy a trainticket so I had to go early. I left home around 9 o’clock.

I was so sleepy in the train and I wasn’t exactly happy about my 2 hour trip to The Hague. But I got there at 11, right on time. No delays or whatsoever. And I worked til 2-ish. Everything went well.

And then it was time to go back home. My journey of 2 hours back home. Again, not so happy. On the way home I became really sleepy and what not. I listened to my iPod, stared outside the window, stared at people and watched some podcasts. But oh man, what a trip. Finally I got home around 4 half dead and half asleep. Ha.

Now, I’m working. And half asleep.

Busy

What a week. What a busy week, I must say. Monday I had a job in The Hague, which is a 2 hour trip for me (I know!). So I decided I’d stay with Elliot in Delft for the night. Tuesday I stayed in Delft. Elliot had school so I went to do some shopping on my own. The city Delft is so cute small, haha.

That night I had a party in The Hague. Lindsay and Joey picked me up at Elliot and off we went. After the party I went to Rotterdam. We got home around 12.30am. And the day after I slept in, but round 10-ish, time to wake up!!! DIM-SUM!

Work, work, work!

Oh man, I have got to do some work! I have to make my resume. Ok, my resume is fine, but I have to make it more personal and unique (think lay-out).

The last couple of days I postponed it, and now it’s just a must to do.

Careerday

Today was careerday in the Amsterdan RAI. I never went to such a thing before so I decided it was time to check it out. It was quite interesting. I followed a workshop about making your resume stand out. I always thought a resume should be professional (read boring), but that is a mythe. I have seen resumes which are completely the opposite of formal and professional, bút they do work. So that is what I will do with my resume. I’ll make it more personal, unique and better. I’ve got some work to do!

Getting ready

Tonight I have an informal party at my former job. We are celebrating the fact that the website (http://wijndomein.ah.nl) is live. I worked 2 months on it, from the beginning to the end. And I couldn’t be more proud. I had a good time working on it. It was different from the other projects I have worked on. Tired

I can’t say it enough, but every day I come home tired. The past couple of days I got home round 19.30 and then my whole evening is gone. It sucks, but not much I can do. Well, I could leave work early, but I had a couple of things to finish. Ah, dillema not?

It takes me about an hour to get and from work. So that takes a lot of my time from my work. That’s why I leave 18.30 and get home ‘late’. And that’s why I am so damn tired in the mornings and at night.

This is insane

I’m always on the look out for a new job or a job that doesn’t take to much time from me. Well, I saw this opening on a blog website. It’s for people who basicly just blog about a topic. So, I sent in my letter and resumé (which isn’t to bad for a beginner) and today I got a reply back.

I was pissed, angry, amazed and everything you can imagine when I read the following:
“Unfortunalety you haven’t got enough experience to blog on our website.” This is insane. You need experience to blog?! I am astonished. Since when do you need experience to write about something you like? How do people come up with this nonsense? How can a person, like me, get a job? It’s not even a ‘real’ job, but an oppurtunity to get the experience. Is it not?
So how can someone reject me for not having enough experience? I have no words for this.

5 days

This week I am working 5 days, so one more day to go. Tomorrow. Friday. The day no one wants to work. I am dreading it. Hopefully I have stuff to do to fill my day, and then time goes by quickly.

what a day…

I got up early and went into town with Elliot. We slept in till 9.30am, and what a sleep in. <3 I miss him already (he´s in Delft now).  not for long as Elliot had to go to work. And so did I.

I had worked till 6 tonight and got ready to go to Lee Ann. I was glad I didn´t have to cook myself, I had worked all day and I didn´t even know what I would cook! Anywho, I had noodles, with chicken and veggies. It was soo good. And around 12 o´clock I returned home. It was nice chatting to Lee Ann again.

But now, I´m very tired and I´m going to sleep, I guess. My eyes are burning from looking at the screen! My goodness..
